I don’t intend to get too personal with this one, after all this is a post meant to celebrate the blogger. So expect a mix of semi personal stuff as well as some really dumb stuff as well. With all that said, let’s get on with this tag.
7. I Play YuGiOh
Starting off strong as you can see. Yes in this ever-moving war of the card games, I’m in the YuGiOh camp. I found YuGiOh while the YuGiOh 5Ds show was airing on kids TV, and from there it became a hobby. I will admit that the ‘meta’ in competitive YuGiOh is one that is incredibly poor to play against and unfortunately the game is slowly descending into a pay to win circle jerk of a card game. However, I always play either rogue tier decks and archetypes that I just enjoy playing. My win loss record is very sketchy, but that doesn’t really matter to me. For those in the know about YuGiOh, my top 3 favourite decks are Flower Cardians, Lyrilusc and my number one is Timelords. I know that only matters to a few of you but all I can say is YuGiOh Timelords for life!
6. Metalhead to the Core
I am a lover of metal, and to the extreme. Now I will admit my musical taste is incredibly varied, I have love for orchestral music, dramatic trailer music and the occasional early 2000s pop track, but my main musical taste is metal. My top five bands and favourite song from them are as follows;
- 5. Rise of the North Star: Here comes the Boom
- 4. Lordi: I’m So Excited
- 3. Manowar: Warriors of the World
- 2. Sabaton: Night Witches
- 1. Get Scared: Told Ya So
As of right now, I know only 2 people who know Get Scared, and I’ve talked about them for 3 years, please let me know in the comments if you’ve heard of Get Scared, please.
I have cosplayed before. unfortunately for some reason I cannot explain the cosplay photo’s cannot seem to be shown. It’s almost as if the powers that be don’t want people to see. Ok I won’t show pictures of my cosplaying escapades, but I shall reveal who they were. Since I am a big Dragon Ball fan, my two top cosplays have been Badman Shirt Vegeta and Super Android 17. Both these cosplays were handmade by me and believe me the idea of making another doesn’t tickle my fancy after my fingers got turned pink with dye and pricked about 136 times by a needle. I took both these cosplays to the Yorkshire Cosplay Con and intend to take at least one of them to the one set for next year.
4. Food Masochist
My love for food cannot be understated, but my main love from the sea of food itself is anything spicy or sour. Not at the same time, I’m not that sick, but anything that is either scorchingly spicy or facetwistingly sour is easily my favourite. I can suck warheads like nothing and did once consume a bowl of chilli with rice with no water. The pain after both these experiences was unreal, but it was a pain I somewhat enjoyed. Whenever I go to a new candy shop, I always make sure to pick up either Warheads or Toxic Waste. As I eat them I hate myself, but I enjoy the suffering, mainly for the satisfying taste and accomplishment of overcoming the agony.
3. World Hopping
In my years I have been to quite a few countries. Nothing too big but I have travelled to quite some amazing places. I’ve been to France, Ibiza and Florida, somewhat standard locations for holidays and trips, but my two favourites were the two geography trips I went on in school. One was to Morocco in Africa, and the other Iceland. Both these trips were fabulous and were so different from each other that it felt like two different worlds. Morroco was so different from where I live that it opened my eyes to so much about the differences in life. Iceland was simply a visual spectacle, the mountains were breathtaking and we even traversed a glacier…which I did almost fall down when my hand fell through a snow wall that lead into a hidden crevice. So aside from that near brush with death
As of writing this post, my current job is working in a printing shop. We print things like business cards, banners, posters and other print products. The job itself is either really easy or incredibly challenging, with some times of year turning the job into a an absolutely chaotic situation. That being said I love this job and the people I work with and I honestly find working with printing far more interesting than I initially thought.
1. I’m Writing a Book
That’s right, I am delving into the world of book writing. I have dabbled in book writing before, but those were narrative based stories, this is more of a personal book of sorts. The working title at this moment in time is ‘The Field Guide to the Mind’. It’s a mix between a self-help book as well as a biography, but not in the sense that I recount my life, rather it’s me using past experiences to provide my answers to certain questions. I don’t know if I will aim for it to be published, but one idea I have is to perhaps turn it into a blog of its own, one separate from this one where I write posts about self help and my own interpretations of aspects of the mind.
With that we are done. I must say it was very difficult finding several things to even talk about. I’m just so average (hah! He said it!) that I had to dissect my life from the nose down to find something that would make a profound and worthwhile post. Now for the nominations.
You don’t have to respond if you don’t want to, and if you do you can take your time.
